Melanie has worked in various capacities in all areas of marketing including advertising, publishing, public relations and marketing communications on both the client and the agency side over a span of 20 years. Having managed the creative process in different settings, she has worked the full spectrum of marketing communications from high-concept programs with a creative team to cost effective communications projects that she handles single-handedly.
Melanie's work experience includes:
- Advertising agency experience in New York City and Peabody, Massachusetts where she worked on various accounts including Nutri-System Diet Centers, Velcro, Ocean Spray and ABC Carpet.
- Advertising space sales for Toy & Hobby World, R & D Magazine and Home Textiles Today
- Founding her own virtual advertising agency, Marketing Options, where she developed marketing and public relations programs for technology companies
- Marketing communications manager for several fiber optic start-ups, including kSARIA Corporation and Control by Light.
